As far as internet rabbit holes go, few are as oddly compelling - and occasionally overwhelming - as the world of supplements. One minute you’re researching caffeine-free pre-workouts, the next you’re comparing the micronutrient profiles of powdered greens endorsed by people who yell for a living on YouTube. It is a space full of big claims, dodgy science, and packaging that looks more like techwear than food. EHPLabs is one of the slicker players in this arena, best known for its OxyShred lineup: thermogenic fat burners in various forms and flavours, each promising to help you make peace with your metabolism (or at least give it a gentle nudge). And, as is now practically required by law, they’re running some deals.
The bestseller is OxyShred Ultra Concentration - available in 17 increasingly surreal flavours, including "Kiss My Peach" and "Gummy Snake." It retails for £44.95, which isn’t cheap, but currently you can spin it into something a bit more reasonable via a 10% off welcome code if you sign up with your email. For something used once a day, it breaks down to under £1 per serving, which is just within the tolerable zone for supplements of this type.
Does it work? There’s caffeine, green tea extract, and a familiar cast of metabolism-supporting ingredients you’ll find in many thermogenics: conjugated linoleic acid, acetyl L-carnitine, and some helpful B vitamins. You can almost hear a sports nutritionist somewhere quietly nodding. Will it "shred" you if you do nothing else? No. But used alongside an actual training plan and sensible meals (not meal "plans" - just food), it can provide a nudge in the right direction, both in terms of motivation and mild thermogenesis. One user said it helps them run around after two toddlers - this may well be the most accurate use case.
There are a few competing versions, too. OxyShred Hardcore takes the original and adds more stimulants, a sure sign someone in marketing realised "Ultra" was no longer enough. At the other end of the spectrum, OxyShred Non-Stim removes all the caffeine, which makes it easier on your sleep but less obviously energising. Again, it's all about managing expectations: this won’t be a magic trick, but it is a more refined placebo (in the best sense of the word) than a third espresso.
EHPLabs doesn’t shower you in flashing discount codes, but they do play the modern coupon game fairly well. Sign-ups get you 10% off your first order, and entering their so-called "Vault" unlocks access to "never-before-seen discounts," which sounds dramatic but is really just a members-only section with slightly better prices. The bundles offer some additional value - for example, the Essentials Bundle combines OxyShred, OxyGreens, and OxyReds in one package. They also throw in free delivery on UK orders over a certain threshold, and promo codes show up periodically, particularly around seasonal sale events.
The standout observation from repeat users? Taste is unusually tolerable. Some even like it - Kiwi Strawberry and Raspberry Refresh have cult followings, while flavours like "Dr Soda Pop" flirt with self-parody. Occasionally, the powders can turn grainy, no matter how enthusiastically you shake them, which isn’t ideal at 6:30am. But for most, the trade-off between texture and convenience is worth it.
EHPLabs doesn’t pretend to be subtle. The branding is loud, the benefits neatly bullet-pointed, and the testimonials aspirational enough to cause minor existential doubt. But strip away the fanfare and you’re looking at a fairly well-formulated supplement range that does its job quietly - if you do yours loudly. The deals are modest, the flavours aren’t unbearable, and at their best, these products offer encouragement where pure grit sometimes fails.
Just don’t put "loving the taste of Gummy Snake" in your dating app bio. Some things are best left to the checkout page.
