I have been specializing in the area of equity based incentives since 1997. During this time I have had the fortune to experience share plans from both an “issuer” and “advisor” perspective. My exposure to share plans started when I was first engaged as company secretary at a Lloyd's insurance broker and has continued throughout my subsequent career as a solicitor; having qualified into the highly regarded share incentives group at Linklaters in 2002. I subsequently spent three years working for Deloitte as a share plans’ adviser. This gave me invaluable tax experience in the context of share plans. From April 2008 to March 2016, I worked in the London City office of White & Case LLP, an international law firm, where I was engaged as senior Counsel in the Employment Compensation and Benefits Group.
I now act act as a consultant to Doyle Clayton LLP, a specialist employment law firm with offices in London and Reading.
I am listed as "Recommended" by The Legal 500, and as a notable practitioner in Chambers UK (2015) - "It is his technical knowledge that makes him stand out."
Prior to qualifying as a company secretary and solicitor, I spent five years as a commissioned officer in the British Army (The Parachute Regiment).
