About their firm

The Bench is an award-winning innovative legal services provider offering cost-effective legal services, legal recruitment and lawyers on demand. It was set-up in the United Arab Emirates in 2016 based on client demand in the Middle East for a boutique firm focusing on the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) and Hospitality sectors. The Bench operates more like a digital legal ecosystem than a traditional law firm. It has a deep bench of legal consultants around the globe that it can call on as and when required. It offers a more tailor-made service to clients by matching the right lawyer with the work rather than lawyers trying to 'turn their hand' at anything that comes across their desks. Clients range from individual entrepreneurs to global law firms and everything in-between. The Bench works seamlessly with in-house legal departments and law firms to augment their existing teams either in terms of specialist legal areas or simply to assist with increased demand. All Benchmark lawyers have 'Big Law' training but 'New Law' mindsets and are recognised year after year by all the major legal publications including Who's Who Legal, Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Chambers recently won the Innovation Award and were awarded 'Highly Commended' for TMT at the Middle East Legal Awards 2017.
