FAQs

What is Lexoo?

Lexoo is an online platform for businesses, that lets you easily source and compare quotes from our curated network of specialised commercial lawyers and quality boutique firms, worldwide. Our team of ex-City lawyers with over 45 years of combined legal experience, ensure you only receive proposals from the most suitable lawyers for your work.

How much does it cost to get quotes?

Our service costs you nothing. We’ll take your requirements (seeking clarification where needed), invite the best lawyers to quote for your work and answer any questions you may have about the process, for free.

How long does it take to get quotes?

Once we have enough information from you and have invited the most suitable lawyers to quote, you’ll typically receive 3-4 quotes within one or two business days, though for many legal enquiries you can expect a same-day turnaround. In a rush? Let us know and we can provide you with a “direct introduction” to the right lawyer within a couple of hours.

Who will see my job details?

Although there are now over 400 firms on the Lexoo platform, our legally trained operations team will only send your job details to a select handful (typically 4-6) of the most suitable lawyers (right expertise, experience, fit and availability) to quote for your work. Your contact details are only shared with a lawyer if you’ve asked us to do so.

How do you vet your lawyers?

We personally interview every lawyer, check their expertise, credentials, practising status and insurance coverage. Those lawyers and firms that meet our high standards and share our philosophy then supply testimonials from former clients. Once onboarded, our lawyers are rated and reviewed by verified Lexoo clients after each job is completed to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

What’s the typical type of lawyer on Lexoo?

We’ve built a global network of quality, boutique, specialist and virtual law firms and experienced sole practitioners. Our lawyers have typically moved away from the large traditional firms and in-house teams to offer their services to forward-thinking clients on a leaner, lower overhead basis. They value efficiency, flexibility and offer the transparency of fixed fees.

What kinds of businesses use Lexoo?

We’ve helped 4,000+ businesses so far, ranging from startups and SMEs through to listed businesses and global brands. General Counsel needing lawyers with deep sector and practice expertise in any jurisdiction, without the bells and whistles of a brand name firm, rely on Lexoo for quick and effective proposals from our pre-screened legal network.

Do you work with large firms?

Yes, absolutely. We see the full range of legal jobs, from single contract reviews to seven-figure court cases, M&A deals, cross-border finance transactions and renewable energy projects. For those larger jobs and for certain niche areas of expertise, we’ve partnered with a number of large brand name firms who can offer the full service solution and the required personnel for large matters, but play by our rules by bidding for clients’ projects on a fixed fee basis.
