Our service is free and you are never bound to anything. Don’t like any of the proposals/quotes you have received? No problem - just walk away! Uhhm, so if it’s free, how does Lexoo pay its bills? Good question! Once you confirm that you would like to work with a lawyer, that lawyer pays us a small fee. Lawyers are willing to pay this fee as they see Lexoo as an alternative to traditional advertising. However, unlike most lawyer directories, Lexoo will never allow lawyers to pay for a better ‘showcased’ position on our site, or to get any form of exclusivity. In other words, the playing field is and will remain level! We promise.

Vetting procedure
Lexoo is an invitation-only marketplace. We only invite lawyers to join us if we know that they’re great. We specifically look for lawyers who are specialised (and have often trained with a large firm) but who for lifestyle reasons are now working for low-overhead ‘virtual’ law firms. In other words: no expensive office, no army of assistants - basically no overheads which make traditional lawyers very comfortable but add zero value for you (but which for some reason you normally end up paying for!). Daniel (our CEO) used to be a lawyer himself and knows from experience what to look for in a great lawyer. He has interviewed and vetted every single lawyer on Lexoo. We believe that this is the only way to guarantee you the best of both worlds: an amazing price and high quality.

Only experienced lawyers
We only ever invite lawyers with a minimum of 4 years of experience to our marketplace - we strongly believe you shouldn’t have to pay for a junior lawyer’s training.

Regulatory check
As part of our screening process we also check each lawyer’s record with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). We make sure that all lawyers registered on Lexoo are in good standing, with a valid practicing certificate and have no orders or fines issued against them. We continue to monitor each lawyer’s regulatory record on a yearly basis.
